“The Human Family”, curated by Jorge Calado, in the Neo-Realism Museum, de Vila-Franca de Xira, integrates a photo by Ernesto de Sousa: “Mercado da Rua Escura, Largo Redondelo, Porto, c. 1962” (?) will be partially on display fro 10 Jul 21-29_Maio_22.
Collection has today (2021) 375 photographs by more than 175 artists, men and women of 25 nationalities, who photographed in 60 countries on five continents. Great masters in the history of photography such as Bruno Barbey, Edouard Boubat, Jack Delano, Alfred Eisenstaedt, Gisèle Freundm, Tim Gidal Willy Ronis, Arthur Rothstein, David Seymouf, Erika Stone, Pierre Verger, etc. are represented. some of whom worked in Portugal, in addition to a dozen Portuguese photographers, from Carlos Relvas to Ernesto de Sousa and José M. Rodrigues.
